Katherine Heigl has opened up about growing up within "a white bubble." The actress also discusses how this experience has affected the parenting style of her adopted children that are multiracial. In a recent "Firefly Lane", "Grey's Anatomy" as well as "Grey's Anatomy", star Katherine Heigl admitted that she did not care about her complexion until she got to know her adoptive sister from South Korea. "I asked Meg how she was that she was treated differently when going out with our parents and when she went out by herself. Meg replied "Oh sure! Every time!" Heigl revealed to Parents that she realized the extent of her ignorance. She said that she was frustrated and felt that she had to channel this anger to help her daughters. Heigl has a four year old son and a 13-year-old spouse, Josh Kelley. In 2009, the couple adopted Nancy Leigh (12), one of their daughters from South Korea, and Adalaide (8 the black child) in 2012.
