Molly Tarlov (born November 11, 1981) is an American actress, best known since 2011 for her role of Sadie Saxton on the television comedy-drama program Awkward. Tarlov was born and raised within Manhattan, New York, being the younger of two daughters. At the age of 10-years-old, she began her acting career with the production Bye Bye Birdie, at Little Red School House. The group of 7th graders who attended the show were extremely impressed. She spent summers studying at NYU Tisch and the Interlochen Center for the Arts. She trained in a range of styles for acting and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre at Bennington College. The Atlantic Theater Company also taught her, as she learned to incorporate writing into her performances through classes like the LAByrinth Theater Masters Course. Molly traded in her black winter coat to get a pair of glasses in black, and then made her way out to Los Angeles. It wasn't long before she landed a 3-word role in iCarly, which attracted the notice from her family members. Molly has made a number of TV appearances, and also played the character of Caitlin on Winnie Holzman as well as Savannah Dooley's ABC's Family show Huge. Molly is a professional basketball player who is convinced that she's more talented than she actually is. Her favourite writers include David Mamet, Henrik Ibsen and Lauren Iungerich.
