In the past, she directed her first film together with Nicole C. Mullen in the short THE GOD THAT SEES. The two co-wrote music for the film. Gifford is a patron of many child's organisations including Childhelp. Additionally, she supports an organization called the Association to Benefit Children, that was the source of Cassidy's Place. She's a dedicated humanitarian and received an honourary doctorate in labor relations at Marymount University.
