Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12th November, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej or now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. The first person in history to achieve a score of 10 in an Olympic competition. Bela Karrolyi, the Romanian gymnastics instructor, who later became the coach for Comaneci, first discovered Comaneci at the age of six. At first, she competed in the national junior championships in Romania in 1969, she was 13th. Then in the year 1970, she was crowned champion. In her very first international event in 1972 she came out on top with three gold medals. At her first competition as a senior, in 1975 she beat the Russian Lyudmila Turishcheva the five-time European champion, winning four gold and one silver medal. In 1976, she took home the American Cup at the New York City Olympics and was the first female to ever dismount parallel bars with a double backward salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her career in the entertainment business began during her teens, when she began skating figure along with her twin sister Nina Wayne as part of the traveling entertainment shows that were known as Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was born on September 6 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol began her career in entertainment when she was in her teenage years. The path she took to success began with her joining Nina Wayne to perform in Ice Capades, a traveling show of entertainment. They featured dramatic skating on ice shows.
